The artwork of Burr F. Eyer shown below is a very small sampling representing a wide variety of styles - oil paintings, watercolors, pen-and-ink drawings - regretfully leaving out technical artwork (from his years drawing for Skil Tools and Monogram Models) as well as his beautiful calligraphy (honed as a typographer for advertising firms such as J. Walter Thompson). Lunch breaks in downtown Chicago yielded the wonderful black and white cityscapes, sketched directly pen-to-paper in less than an hour's time each. His boyhood love of farm life and carnivals is represented, as are the serenity of boats and water, and family and friends are captured perfectly in his portraits and caricatures.
